Cross Sound Ferry provides daily, year-round, passenger, vehicle, truck and high-speed passenger service between New London, Connecticut and Orient Point, Long Island, New York. Crossing Long Island Sound, the ferry service bridges New England and Long Island, saving a traveler up to 200 miles of driving with up to 56 arrivals and departures daily. The 16.5 mile trip takes between 1 hour and 15 minutes to 1 and a half hours. The high-speed passenger ferry makes the trip in 40 minutes.
In New London, the ferry is conveniently located off I-95 and I-395 and within New London's transportation center with Amtrak and Acela rail service between New York and Boston and a 1000 car parking garage. On Long Island, the ferry is located at the end of State Route 25 via the Long Island Expressway (I-495).
